Color Pop ft Mr Button | LFW Weekend

There are few fabrics I have fallen head over heels for, but denim is undoubtedly one of them. Easy and comfortable to wear, remarkably tough, and endlessly versatile, denim is one of those rare materials that doesn’t lose its appeal with repeated wear, but only gets better – developing its own custom tones and unique character over time.

It’s a cowboy’s trademark uniform, and a versatile staple that can be worn in any season. Like most menswear staples, the trusty denim jacket has seen its fair share of tweaks over the years, with designers and tribes alike reinterpreting the original style through the introduction of different cuts, fabrics and embellishments. The humble denim jacket is a classic piece of menswear. Making it’s way back every season, this jacket is here to stay for longer. And when we speak about the brands giving it a new style every season, I picked the most versatile piece in Mr Button’s collection, the Denim Blazer.

For my fashion week rendezvous, it’s one of the looks I was looking forward to and was saving it for the end. The indigo vibes of the denim blazer and the mint printed trousers by Mr Button, I just couldn’t wait to add the spark to these two key pieces from their spring summer collection. Let’s see how I did that with some interesting tips on how you can plan an outfit in summers using a denim blazer.

I wasn’t very keen on doing the denim on denim look as it’s done to death everywhere. So here comes the contrast. Your jacket and trousers should always have a bit of contrast if you’re not wearing a suit, but it’s especially critical with denim. Pairing it with a pastel was a bit of a challenge but I knew this will work.

In general, just wear pants that aren’t denim when you wear your jean jacket. Cords, chinos, khakis, and even some casual dress slacks can all look fine with a jean jacket, as long as there’s some color contrast. It takes the whole problem of matching denim out of the equation.

And just to break that pastel and indigo vibes, I added a pinch of color by pairing my printed orange shirt by Zara. That shirt just lifted the entire look and complemented the blues and pastels very well.

A mix print of flora and fauna is perfect for the summers and you can easily carry it out while you remove your jacket as well. Keeping in mind the color tones, I chose the overall blue Zara sneakers and they are just rad with this whole look. The outfit oozes out summers all the way.

Coming to accessories, a vintage sunglass by Pataaka was a very first choice for this outfit. It added some retro feel and we all love it when it’s a bit retro, isn’t it? A Singleton Select tan leather Ipad sleeve was another add on with this look. Love the way the tan goes well with the blues and orange. The sleek Ipad sleeve is so handy, you can carry it anywhere with you. I am a big fan of bracelets and this skull and stud bracelet by Koovs Mavi collection looks so dapper. The chrome finish with the gold accents is perfect for any occasion from day to night. A cherry on top, a printed blue pocket square. Just for the love for prints :)

Wearing denim in a modern way is all about mixing rather than matching. With memories of early aughts Justin Timberlake (among others) still sending shivers down the spine, you’d be wise to use denim almost like a seasoning to spice up or soften your everyday wear. Good denim pieces, well cared for, can last you a lifetime – and provide you with a custom piece that nobody else has. So how will you be wearing your denim jacket this season, let me know in the comments section :)

So now it’s me signing off stylishly, hope you had a great time reading this post. Some more interesting post coming up. This was all from Fashion Week. And see some laughter vibes which happened at LFW below. That’s surely some color pop you will enjoy. Stay Stylish :)
