Colors plays an important role when it comes to anyone’s wardrobe. But we men tend to stick to our neutrals and basics because we feel its safe. Lot of my friends who are from IT industry have a habit of always grabbing blues or blacks while shopping. While these colors are classics and goes with anything you wear it with, but there is always a way a man can try some colors without looking like a walking candy shop. So here is my second look for the Summer look book after white and tan.
Green is the biggest color trend spotted for Summer 2016. It’s tricky, though. There are a lot of different ways to do it, and it all comes down to which shade you pick. There are bright greens, deep emerald tones, more neutral army types, and then some that border on brown (they’re called olive). The trick is figuring out which is right for you and then matching everything accordingly. There’s something for every guy out there, whether you’re gonna crush it in a suit, keep it casual in a military jacket, or go sporty with an old-school varsity. The choice is yours. While I chose to play with the more subtle tones for this summer, I kept the look mostly monochrome with hints of whites. So here it is, the guide to wear green without hesitating this summer.
Taking the Athleisure route for this route, I tried to keep it more casual and sporty while the shades of green do the rest of the job. Th combination of military green and olive doesn’t make it look too loud and at the same time the colors stands out while complementing each other. While the look is very street de-constructed Athleisure, I chose the most casual and rugged jeans which is perfect for this kind of style.
To add another element of the athleisure trend, I layered my sweatshirt with a long line white tee shirt inside. It looks comfy and stylish and not too tough to layer it up in summers. And to add the last element if street, keep it casual with the sneakers and not some other style of shoes. I chose Zara sneakers in shade of white and blue and complements the greens in the outfit.
When it comes to accessories, I opted for simple metallic ones. The metal and greens go well together, therefore the combination. A simple neck chain with sleek metal wrist chains does the work. A mirrored sunglass in shade of blue with a hint of gold looks perfect. And to complete the look, a metal watch is a must.
Trying this look for a casual day out with friends or a movie night with bae, it will work wonders everywhere. Looking at the temperature rise. the loose tee will help in keeping the cool factor alive in your style. If you feel the white tee is too much layering then try a white longline vest which is more airy and summer friendly.
So there it goes, the athleisure trend well connected with one of the hot colors of the season. Try it out with any of the looks you would like to sport. The rugged denims can be worn with just a simple white shirt as well and make it a complete day outfit. Try combining the white jeans with this tee shirt. The versatility of green is that it can be worn with black, white, blue, brown, khaki and other neutral shades and it will never look too much. The weekend is here, try out this look and trend and let me know what you guys think of it. Till then have a happy stylish weekend
