Everyone owns it. Every man cherishes it. This ultimate staple which has been in a man’s wardrobe for ages can never go out of style. Yes, a white shirt is a perfect classic to-go clothing piece for any season or occasion. Catering to all age groups, every guy has a unique style of wearing this piece. Some like it classic as it looks best that way and some prefer it to be casual and breezy which is street and young. I have experimented with the white shirt in every feasible way but I feel there is still a lot to experiment with this.
We all know that the white shirts are out there, every brand has it, every brand has their own versions and it caters to all our needs. Raymond introduced their collection of Supima shirts and this wardrobe staple had to be part of it. In my first post with Raymond, I spoke about how Supima is one of the most premium cotton available in the market and Raymond has launched it recently. With changing shopping habits, everyone loves to be spoiled with choices. But what’s more relevant is that we needed such options when it comes to a product which have been quite same for years. At the same time, the quality matters too. The cotton white shirt is every man’s favourite and is perfect for summers. With Raymond Supima being the premium version, these shirts can easily be worn with casual as well as formal attire. Wear it with a suit or just your khakis with leather sandals and they will serve both the purpose. I tried here my favourite version which is the semi-formal.
Keeping it light and breezy with light coloured trousers and slip-ons, this look is perfect for a day out as well as a date night. With summers around for a longer time, we need to choose the right paring with the white shirt. This light blue trouser is airy as well as a good transition piece from day to night. You can wear it with sneakers in day and at the same time wear it with formal shoes to give it an evening look.
Details makes a white shirt. Every white shirt has some details which makes it stand out among the basic ones. Some have the placket details, some have the collar ones and you will see some with a hint of color or print. This shirt too have a very summery feel to it with a hint of light florals under the collar, cuffs and placket. That was one of the reason I chose to pair it with a light colored trouser. Pairing it with right accessories like a metal watch, a sleek silver cuff and some classic aviators completes the look. To add a pop pf color, I chose a bright purple and pink detailed pocket sqaure. Adding a pocket square to a shirt always takes the formal game a notch above the rest.
As stated by the brand itself, Raymond Supima offers the best quality in whatever you pick, either the shirts of tee-shirts, everything is made to perfection. That’s surely a remarkable thing to see such quality yet lot of options to pick from. Looking at all the designs from this collection, I can easily see a lot of thought process has gone in creating each piece so that it looks different from the other. The details in cuffs, collars and plackets makes each shirt/tee shirt unique. My favorites are the dress shirts specially the one with pin tucks in front and a tux collar.
