The Modernist featuring Byron Bond

With minimalist approach towards everything, from clothes to your home interiors, we have seen a big change when it comes to lifestyle products. The silhouettes of our clothes are getting more streamlines and we no longer opt for shoes with those heavy detailing. Simple and minimal is what we look for in our designs these days. We go to pick the kitchen china and we no longer see heavy floral designs which ruled some time back. They wither will have a simple silver lining or just a hint of print in nudes. Let’s look at how tropical trend has changed in past years. With heavy saturated bold floral prints we have come down to muted flowers and mild tones.

There is a shift to simple designs in past couple of years and therefore we have seen the same in the watch industry as well. Watches, as I have always insisted, are one of the most versatile piece of accessory every man should try. It adds class, elegance and not just a mere piece of time telling device. Well there are big players in industry who still have the design philosophy of making big and chunky timepieces, but that’s all about the brands image. I still love my metal strap big watches to pair with a nice suit or my formals. But I do like my watches slim and minimal sometimes and that’s when I got introduced to this new UK based brand called Byron Bond.

Byron Bond was founded by a British-Swedish duo, Jemma and Rickard. Inspired by classic British design, they set out to create a distinguished watch brand that encapsulates a very British spirit but with an understated, fresh edge. A watch that is a twenty first century interpretation of a classic, and one which people from the far reaches of the globe, can enjoy wearing at any occasion. As silver is my favorite, I chose a classic silver mesh watch with a black dial called Bayswater, which is perfect for an evening with a classic outfit to a day out in shorts and polo.

As you can see, I opted for a a full black outfit for this slim and minimal piece. A slim fit black shirt and trousers with a patent black shoe is perfect for a day formal event or works for an evening out. Keeping it all one tone surely elevates the watch and makes it a stand out in your ensemble. Byron Bod is all about comfort and durability as they are made with extra precision in their design studios and are easily adjustable in case of the strap doesn’t fit.

The current watch trends are also leading us to wear watches which are simple in design. Small is beautiful, as the quote goes, the entire range if Byron Bond watches are made of stainless steel and have two options of strap i.e. nylon or mesh strap. The best part is that you can interchange the straps easily from one to another. It’s always a good idea to have watches with multiple satraps as you can change the look of the watch and wear it with different outfits without investing double money.

So here is my favorite from the Byron Bond watches collection. Do check out their watches and this is a perfect time to look at their website (click here) as the festive season approaches and these pretty watches are definitely a perfect idea for a great gift.
